Larium contains Mefloquine and is taken as one tablet once weekly, always  on the same day. The first tablet should be taken 10 days before departure and the 2nd dose, 3 days before leaving the country. The following doses should then be taken once a week (on a fixed day).

The treatment should be continued one tablet once weekly for 4 weeks after leaving the area with malaria.
